Current Build...

SN
I have worked with Shadowbox before but today decided to purchase a Developer License. After downloading the Shadowbox-3.0.2 build and uploading it to a server, I could not for the life of me get shadowbox to work. When clicking on an image, all it did was open it in the same browser window. After about 2 hours of going back through the painfully easy instructions and feeling like a newb, I decided to revert back to an older version's CSS and JS file, which fixed the problem. Has anyone else experienced this?

Do you have any idea what the problem is? Can you provide a sample page that I can take a look at?

I've been having same problem and been reverting to past version as a last resort. Here is a link if what is happening to me:

Your problem is that you're using the jQuery adapter but you're not including the jQuery script. Try adding the following line just before you include shadowbox.js:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script>

This problem is very easy to spot. All you have to do is load up your page with Firebug or some similar debugging tool and you should spot the "jQuery is not defined" error easily.

I went back and downloaded the shadowbox files making sure I did not select any of the adapters, and it is working fine now.

Thanks for clearing that up!

Best,
